Ground Beef Stroganoff Casserole
June 30, 2011I adapted this recipe from a Betty Crocker recipe to fit what I had on hand. It turned out pretty good!
Ground Beef Stroganoff Casserole
8 oz Uncooked egg noddles (I used whole grain wheat noodles.)
1 lb. Ground Beef
12 oz Sliced fresh mushrooms
2 Minced garlic cloves
1/4 Minced onion
1 Jar of turkey gravy (You can use beef or pork or turkey gravy if you prefer.)
8 oz Container of sour cream
Butter
Nutmeg
Salt & Pepper
Fresh chopped parsley
Heat oven to 375. Cook egg noodles. Meanwhile in a large skillet cook ground beef along with garlic, onion, mushrooms and salt & pepper. When the noodles are cooked put in a casserole dish and butter them making sure that they are thoroughly coated. Drain the beef and add the sour cream, gravy and nutmeg. Put meat mixture in the dish with noodles and stir so that everything is well blended. Bake in oven for 35 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley for serving. We had Parmesan garlic bread with this and a salad would work too!
