Southwestern Chili Cheese Dogs
January 30, 2011That's what I am calling these! They were good too...
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking pan with foil. The size will depend on how many hot dogs you are making. Spread hot dog buns with butter and top with all beef franks, mustard and chili with beans in it. Put assembled dogs in the baking pan and then cover with cheese. I used a southwestern shredded cheese, you can also use a Mexican variety or a combination of Pepper Jack and Cheddar. Top with diced onions and chopped green chili's or jalapenos.
Cover the pan with foil, making sure to tent it so the cheese does not stick to the foil. Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes. During the last 5 minutes uncover. Yum! I bet these would also taste good if you added salsa on top.
