Garden Bento and Japanese Goodies
August 24, 2010Here is Penelope's lunch for today. As soon as she saw it she said "Wow, it's beautiful." Then she started flying her butterfly around. :)
Turkey and cheese butterfly sandwich with carrot spots and carrot antennae, olive bugs crawling around on the grass and flower apples.
I received a package today from one of my Japanese penpals. She sent me some cute paper cups and a bag for Penelope's bento's and she also sent some spicy rice crackers called Kakinotane and a sweet treat for Penelope. She called it chocolate pie, they are these little puff pastry type cakes filled with chocolate. Yummy. Thank you Ayako!
