I finally have enough time to post some photos of our super fun Alaskan vacation that my parents, Penelope, and I had a couple of days ago. The parents love watching those Alaska nature tour and nature shows and one of the things they have been wanting to do is ride the Alaska Railroad so I surprised them with a trip! Thursday we drove to Anchorage, did some shopping, had some yummy Sushi and relaxed at the Sheraton . Friday we woke up early in the morning to start our grand adventure. We took a 4 hour tour on the Alaska Railroad to Seward, Alaska. The ride there was a blast! The scenery was beautiful and we got to see some wildlife during the ride. Penelope loves trains so this was really exciting for her. Here are a few pics of the train ride...

All Aboard! As soon as Penelope saw him she started pointing and saying "Mommy, that's the train conductor, the train conductor!" I had to get a pic of them together.

Choo Choo!! Moose taking a swim Snow! Once we got to Seward we enjoyed walking along the main street and old town, it is such a cute little town. We also really enjoyed visiting the Alaska Sealife Center.  Seward port, there was a cruise ship that had come in from China. I talked to one of the passengers and she said they had been out at sea for the last 30 days, wow!  Being a goofball Relaxing after a long day  She loved the aquarium! Puffin! After our long train ride we slept well in our hotel and woke up the next morning and headed out to do some shopping before the drive home. On the way we home we stopped at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, too cool! Brown Bear! Don't look behind you! Staredown!  AWWW!!! We also saw buffalo, caribou, elk, musk ox and moose but the bears were definitely the highlight. Have I mentioned I am obsessed with bears. I gotta do one of those fly in bear viewing trips next! Even though we had a fabulous vacation and tons of fun we missed you Chris and wish you could have been there with us. Let's do Denali next!
